Ultraman Mebius is the 17th TV series and 40th anniversary production in the Ultra Series, which first began in 1966. Mebius is a rookie Ultraman and has a lot to live up to. He is chosen as the new protector of the earth by Father of Ultra. Because this series was made in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Ultraman, unlike previous series, is set in the same universe as the original Ultraman timeline and makes many references from Ultra Q (1966) through to Ultraman 80(1980), so we can see many familiar past Ultramen within the series.
It has been about five years since Bandai released the first version of Ultra-Act Mebius. In 10/25/2014, Bandai released the renewal version which was redesigned from the movable property to the style.

Packaging of course, is typical version 2.0 style. The combination of colors on the box is corresponding to the colors of Mebius himself – red and golden yellow.

Still a clear plastic paper inserted between chest and waist to prevent the wear of the painting on the waist. Pulling the chest out to removing this paper.

(4) Four views of the figure
Compared to the old version, the renewal Mebius strengthen the muscles and the whole body is more well-proportioned. It looks much stronger and powerful. The painting is also excellent and I can not find any obvious painting flaws on it. The golden yellow color is really cool which is close to the TV suit. The sculpt of head is accurate and the eyes are transparent.

The head articulation is really great no matter looking up, looking down or turning around.

The mobility of waist is limited.

The articulation of arms is above the normal level.
(9) Accessory One – Swappable chest plates
There are three interchangeable chest plates. One normal chest plate features a Blue Color Timer. Another one is a smaller version of it which can let the arms close to each other to achieve the pose of using Mebium Specium Beam Effect. The last one is a chest plate with Red Color Timer and there is no smaller version of it.

The Mebium Blade is a gift from Father of Ultra and it can launch a arrow-shaped, missile-strength blast. The effect is too sharp so be careful when using it. The red ball on the Mebium Blade is transparent and the carving is also very delicate.

The effect is made of transparent plastic with pearly white painting which makes it a strong layering feeling. The effect is not independent but modeled with a right hand.

Summary:
With moderate tightness of joints, high mobility of head, great painting and delicate details, it is possible to accurately portray a variety of scenes. I can not find any obvious flaws of this figure. Unlike Ultraman Leo and Zero with lots of accessories, Mebius only comes with a few necessities, but I think it is enough for him since many important effects are included and there are also two extra chest plates we can use. You can feel the sincerity of this figure from many small details like the texture of Timers and the sculpt of Mebium Blade.
